Our Past
Me and my wife Kali met about 6 years ago in Lima, Peru. We were on a misson trip and fell in love at first site.
We dated for about 2 years then got married and moved to Oklahoma.
I have always lived in Oklahoma and Kali had always lived in Gettysburg, Pa.
Growing up there Kali had always told her mother and grandmother that she wanted some of those "hairy cows" she had seen in Hanover, Pa.
Growing up in town, it didnt seem like it would be a possiblility for her to own cattle.
I have always lived on a farm growing up in Oklahoma with my parents.
They have owned cattle, horses, ostriches, emus, deer, antelope,
zebras, rams, and other exotics.
While dating and even after we got married we never really talked about owning cattle till one day we went to Prague, Ok.
to their Exotic animal auction. We saw some of these (hairy cows), not knowing anything about them, we decided not to buy
them and went home dissappointed. After that we studied into them and decided to pursue and buy a small herd of them to see
if we liked them. Since then we have found our new favorite hobby. Everynight we go out and check our cows with our son (Parks).
The Present
Right now in life, I (Blake) am in college at OSU in Okmulgee, OK. I am studying computers and will finally earn my Bachelors degree in Information Assurance and Forensics in April of 2012. I am working at
Okmulgee Memorial Hospital doing part-time IT work. I enjoy working there a lot! Kali and I have already graduated with our Associates Degrees!
We are both working toward our Bachelors. I try to earn a little money buying and selling Highlands and other exotic animals.
We both love designing web pages and doing this sort of thing. Parks turned 3 on January 28th, seems like the fastest years of our lives! On a day to day basis time seems to go really slow
doing homework, building websites, and working in the oilfield with my father. We spend alot of
time at home doing homework, watching Parks, and playing
with the cows and zebras. We have a GREAT life!!
I thank God everyday for all the blessings around me.
The Future
First and Foremost we put our future in Gods hands. He knows whats best for our lives. Hopefully after we finish school we will both
get good jobs
around this area so we dont have to move. I love our house and land! I am going to try to get a job teaching computers or
doing IT work for a school. Again God knows whats best for us and he will open the doors.
